| La Casetta is a pretty cottage set in a rural location which benefits from stylish, comfortable furnishings. Although on one floor, the cottage has airy, high ceiling to keep you cool in the summer, yet snug in the winter.There are two double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms with loos. The sitting room is a wonderful place to chill out with its sofa, armchairs, fireplace and selection of DVDs. Alternatively, the verandah is perfect for sundowners and long, long lunches. The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, dining table and elegant granite worktops. There is a washing machine and Internet Access is available via a usb Dongle. The cottage is very close to the breathtaking Sibillini National Park and only a short drive from neighbouring hilltop towns: these beautiful towns are steeped in history, have weekly markets, shops, stores, bars, banks and restaurants. The mountain loch of Lago di Fiastra is about 30 mins away for spectacular swimming or the azure Adriatic coast is 45 mins in the opposite direction. There are plenty of opportunities locally to make the most of the fantastic natural beauty of the area with Mountain and Country Hiking, Bike Hire, Trekking, Ballooning, Rafting, Canoing. The local Cuisine is excellent, specialising in mushroom and truffle dishes, local meat and game char-grilled over olive and vine embers. The local wines include the wonderful Rosso Piceno and Verdicchio di Jesi. There are many local wineries nearby. La Casetta is perfect for a family holiday or for 2 couples sharing. It is available for short and longer lets. Macerata Open Air Opera Season (end of July- Early August) 40 mins drive. Skiing at Sassotetto 40 mins. |
