CASA ELENA : Casa Elena is a lovely restored Villa with a Private Pool on a lower terrace with spectacual views and sophisticated accommodation for 8 people. Surrounded by stunning country side of Southern Le Marche nestled in between two equally magnificent hill top towns the house offers a little haven of peace and tranquility. The private pool has a south facing terrace and wonderful far reaching mountain views and a jacuzzi in the shallow end. Tranquil, private and charming Casa Elena provides a lovely retreat snugly positioned in one of the most beautiful parts of Le marche. Close to all amenities and restaurants, a beautiful hill town is 3km away , the coast and beaches under one hours drive. The house accommodates 8 people very comfortably and can sleep up to 10 . A newly converted cantina provides an independent apartment leading out to the pool terrace. The apartment is only rented with the house but has a small kitchen, shower room, double or twin bed and has double doors leading out to the pool terrace with wonderful mountain views. The reception rooms all lead out to the large balconied terrace which is a perfect spot for out side dining and sun downers watching the sun disappear behind the mountains. Set between to beautiful medieval hill towns the house is peacefully located but convenient for shopping and restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped for creating some Italian dishes while on holiday and the numerous terraces offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy the superb views and Marche countryside. A very good family and young children house it also has a romantic, hideawy feel and is cosy enough for a couple or small family group.The property has been restored for ease of modern living while retaining many of its original features. It is not suitable for very young children. Elderly people will find all areas accessible with either wide steps or a sloping path leading down to the pool and studio apartment. The ground floor rooms of the main house have some low doorways in keeping with the cottage character of the property. Main house - fully equipped custom built kitchen - sink, electric oven, gas hob, coffee maker, table and chairs. Studio apartment - fitted kitchen, fridge/freezer, 4 ring gas hob, electric oven, extractor.There are two double beds and bunks in the main house with two bath/shower rooms and the lower apartment with independent access has bedroom, seating area, kitchentte and a shower room.There are several terraces with numerous doors giving access to them. the pool area has a covered pergola and broad steps lead to it. HOUSE LAYOUT SURROUNDING AREA The 2 local medieval villages are stunning , unspoilt examples of a walled medieval hill villages. Beautifully preserved and fully inhabited village with art treasures , medieval architecture and churches . The house is 8 minutes drive into either piazza - there are small , well stocked mini marts which sells meat, vegetable, sundries, wine etc. There is a chemist very close by. A bank with an ATM which accepts visa and foreign cards is almost opposite. There are bars and and excellent restaurants and beautiful, piazzas. There are also an excellent pizzerias. There is an excellent supermarket 10 minutes drive from the house . A few minutes drive there are several restaurants and hill towns to explore and try. The food is typically Marchigianan and absolutely delicious - accompanied by one of the many superb Marche wines. See our wine section for more details. Tennis players can use the tennis court in the closest village. The coast is no more than 50 minutes drive with clean white beaches, night life, Cafe life and Countless fish restaurants. The mountains are less than 25 minutes with all kinds of activities available including a fresh water lake , restaurants and bars, quad bike hire , hiking , absailing and horse rides. Macerata , the provincial city , a stunning medieval walled city holds a glorious open air opera season every summer for three weeks - 20 minutes drive from the house. LAYOUT Enter through the kitchen or into a small vestibule. From the hall into a dining room with dining table and chairs A sittingroom with a Tv/ DVD has two sofas and other seating. This leads to a 2nd sitting room which can be used as a bedroom as it has sofa beds. Doors lead onto one of the terraces. with beautiful views. The kitchen accessed from the hall through a utility room which houses the washing machine and dish washer is well equipped and has a table and chairs . There is a ground floor WC which has a shower and wash hand basin. Stairs lead to the 1st floor with two double bedroom, and a bunk room. There is a bathroom on this floor with WC, shower and wash hand basin. A guest apartment has seperate access and is situated by the pool just below the main house accessed down some broad stone steps with very easy access. The guest suite has double bed, ensuite shower room and a kitchenette which is also used for pool side lunches and chilling drinks. the garden has hammocks, several terraces and a shaded area around the pool. The road leading from the house to both villages and beyond is well maintained tarmac road and there is ample parking and private gates.
