Casa Collina is a beautifully restored large Italian farmhouse nestled on a hillside in the province of Le Marche. It has 7 bedrooms and sleeps up to 15 people. Set in the rolling hills of Le Marche next to fields of sunflowers, Casa Collina is a perfect holiday home,for families and groups of friends. The private pool 12 x 8 m swimming pool has a children’s paddling area and there's an outdoor shower, and loggia for shade. Located within 5 minutes drive of a charming unspoilt but thriving medieval hill town Sant Angelo in Pontano with good food shops selling local produce and wine. The village is an easy and safe 15 minute walk up the drive surrounded by sunflowers and less than 10 mins to a local restaurant which is locally renowned as being one o the most popular in the area. One hour from Ancona Airport, 35 minutes to the closest beach at Civitanova. asa Collina with its cosy, private location, spectacular views, brand new elegant pool and terraces along with a newly and beautifully restored country house sleeping 12 plus people in great comfort has everything needed for a perfectly relaxing, peaceful holiday in the heart of the Le Marche country side and within walking distance to a medieval hill town.The house has five spacious bedrooms, three doubles, one twin all with private shower rooms and with the second floor open plan childrens bedrooms which can sleep at least 4 children also has a shower room .The house offers a high degree of comfort and space, well equipped and very tastefully designed. The new pool 14m x 8m is situated below the house, in a south facing position enjoying all day sunshine , plenty of shade is provided, is reached by wide, paved steps and has a spacious elegant terrace, south facing with wonderful views of the valleys beyond provides a eating terrace close to the kitchen overlooking the pool with lovely views. To the front of the house there is another terrace to enjoy the view, drink a morning coffee and take in the sunshine. Collina is a six bedroom houses each bedroom has a private high spec shower room each with a sink, WC and bidet along with spacious well fitted showers. There are three doubles and two twins bedrooms which can be used as perfectly for smaller number eg. groups of 10 people .The cottage is located above the pool sleeping 4 with a bathroom and fully equipped fitted kitchen which leads out to the vine covered loggia with the dining table Situated in the heart of Le Marche and located in the hills below a hill town the position is private and peaceful with wonderful views but not secluded as the hill town is 5 minutes drive or a 25 minute walk. The town has excellent shopping, three restaurants of high quality serving typical Marchigianan food which is simple and delicious. There are three bars , two in the town piazza and a lovely place to enjoy a coffee, wine , beer or a gelati ( all of which are of top quality.The house is newly restored, the restoration taking 5 years in total and done to top specification, furnished with typical Italian style country furniture, terracotta tiled floors, shuttered windows, beamed ceilings. The environment is safe for children, the pool, not fenced but is a safe distance from the pool, and well within sight of the house. There is a large, grass lawn which is mostly flat, spacious drive and parking. The house also has a billiard table in one part of the sitting room, sat TV , DVD and a music system to keep the younger people happy.The kitchen is newly installed , with , capacious gas burning hob and oven a huge fridge, double sinks and loads of work space. The doors from the kitchen lead directly to the terrace with the vine covered loggia. This spot is ideal for outside eating, long lazy lunches in the shade of the vine. The bedrooms are located on the first floor each has it s own private bathroom, again newly installed and tastefully designed. Sun beds, umbrellas are provided along with an outside eating area outside the house covered to shelter you form the hot Italian sun and a perfect place to enjoy sun sets, lunches and dinners under the stars. The cottage has a further bedroom, bathroom, sitting area and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher .Baby sitting is available if booked before hand as is a prepared dishes service, taxi service and a weekly maid service which can be increased. Towels and Linen provided all brand new as this is Casa Collina first year of rental. LOCAL AREA The local town a beautiful medieval hill town is on the hill opposite the house is a quick drive. With a good supermarkets, butchers, veg shops, tobacconist, cafés, ATM, 3 excellent restaurants and bars. One restaurant famous in the area Pippo and Gabrielle is walking distance from the house serving very typical, high quality Marche food with a convivial lively atmosphere and very Italian surroundings.The village is walking distance about 2 km.The regional capital Macerata is a 25 minute drive with not only top quality boutiques and restaurants but a spectacular open air opera season in the summer. Abbey Fiastra is a 20 minutes drive or cycle ride with beautiful walks around the abbey grounds, a magnificent 12 C abbey, a choice of excellent restaurants and horse riding. Roman ruins at Urbisaglia are close by which makes a fascinating tour. Loreto, Tolentino and further afield Urbino are all within easy reach.The local area is busy with festa and Sagras in the summer and Autumn time celebrating harvests and holidays. These are great fun for all the family, everyone staying up late into the night, eating gelati and dancing.Close by the Adriatic coast with its long white beaches and numerous fish restaurants and nightlife is an easy 40 minute drive. The Sibillini mountains with all their natural beauty, wonderful walking, skiing, wild flowers and pony trekking along with water sports on a natural fresh water lake are 45 minutes drive from the house.The nearest beach Civitanova is a 40 minute drive offering sandy beaches and a wide choice of fish restaurants, shops, boutiques and coffee Bars there is a lively night life scene too. The chic resorts of Grottamare and San Benedetto are a further 30 minutes to the south. Monte Conero National Park is about an hours drive to the north with well marked walks, mountain biking and excellent beaches and restaurants at Sirolo, Numana and Portonovo. Crivelli's paintings in the church in Monte San Martino are especially worth a visit (35 mins drive) and the local restaurant serves a fine nettle pasta. People who love to walk can stretch their limbs in the Sibilline Mountains and the staggeringly beautiful landscapes of the Pian Grande where the Castellucio lentils are grown is highly recommended as a day trip.
