| The house is thought to have been built in 1746 although some parts are said to be older and there is h a fascinating history attached to it. The house under went total but very sensitive restoration 8 years ago and retains all its old character and has huge amounts of charm. The house sleeps 6 in three twin and double bedded rooms each with own private bathroom. The reception rooms are spacious and bright , the sun floods the lower rooms which have glass doors opening out into the terraced garden. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful inside the house with no sense of being cramped as one might expect from a town house. The location is private, the house being situated close to the edge of the town opposite a church ( see photograph) with no neighbours on either side except an local man who tends his garden in the summer .Therefore the house has all the benefits of being within a beautiful hill top town with all that entails as well a very private, spacious garden and superb views for miles around. |
